Motivational Interviewing: Train-the-Facilitator – Part 1

For designated practice champions.

Part 1 of a 2-part Train-the-Facilitator workshop focuses on adult education principles and relationship-based learning strategies. Participants will sharpen their ability to articulate core MI skills within this context, as well as learn techniques to increase engagement and participation.

1. Participants will demonstrate a competent and confident ability to explain clearly core MI skills.

2. Participants will accurately identify and describe the key components of effective relationship-based learning and adult education principles.

3. Participants will be able to design and facilitate engaging workshop exercises that promote active practice and participation, using structured demonstrations, time-managed skills drills, interactive activities, and observer tools to sustain engagement and measure skill development.
