Sharon H. Green, PhD, MPH, MPhil
Senior Manager of Analytics and Impact
As the Senior Manager of Analytics and Impact at the Population Health Learning Center, Sharon leads analytic and data science projects across all programs. She provides evidence-based guidance to improve healthcare outcomes in California.
Before joining the Learning Center, Sharon conducted research on health disparities, health policy, and social and economic determinants of health at the University of California, Berkeley and Columbia University. Her work has appeared in leading journals, including The New England Journal of Medicine, American Journal of Public Health, and Social Science & Medicine – Population Health. She also taught graduate courses in public health and quantitative methods.
Earlier in her career, Sharon worked in healthcare and public health program delivery and evaluation. She served as an HIV tester and counselor at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and led an HIV and STI prevention program for youth in the juvenile justice system.
Sharon earned her PhD, MPH, and MPhil from Columbia and her BA from Johns Hopkins. She completed both a postdoctoral fellowship and a data science fellowship at UC Berkeley.
